Description
This little basket has a base and spokes of Eastern Red Cedar inner bark, and uses the inner bark of Black Walnut and outer bark of Willow for twilled weavers. The shiny greenish twined rows are of Rattlesnake Master leaves, a tall-grass prairie plant, once commonly found in Missouri. The shell beads are pieces of conch shell. All materials for this basket were harvested, prepared, and created entirely by hand, from the standing trees and plants to the finished basket.
