The weavers are of hand pounded <b>Black Ash<\/b>, the inner bark of <b>American Elm<\/b>, and the outer bark of <b>Willow<\/b>.  The center twill design uses split strips of <b>Cedar<\/b>.  The twining rows are of <b>Rattlesnake Master<\/b> leaves, a tall grass prairie plant that was once very common in Missouri.   The rim is finished with a technique commonly used among the Northwestern coastal Indians, called a Swinomish fold.
