The twining rows are of <b>Rattlesnake Master<\/b> leaves, a tall grass prairie plant that was once very common in Missouri.  The outer bark of young <b>American Elm<\/b> branches makes up the center gray weaver.  The rim is finished with a technique commonly used among the Northwestern coastal Indians, called a Swinomish fold.   The dangle is made with a <b>Eucalyptus<\/b> pod from Australia, and a shell of a <b>Heartnut<\/b>, a type of Walnut.  All the woven materials for this basket were gathered and prepared entirely by hand, from the standing trees and plants to the finished basket.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This little basket is hand woven with strips of inner bark of <b>Eastern Red Cedar<\/b>.
