This basket has a base and spokes of Eastern Red Cedar<\/b> inner bark, and is woven with the outer bark of Willow<\/b>. The central dark twilled arrow band is the inner bark of Black Walnut<\/b>. The shiny greenish twined rows are of Rattlesnake Master<\/b> leaves, a tall-grass prairie plant, once commonly found in Missouri. And the white twined rows are of Basswood<\/b> fiber, also known as Linden. This bark is rotted for six weeks in a pond, and then rinsed thoroughly, and the inner bark is peeled apart into tissue-thin layers. The beads are Kentucky Coffee Tree<\/b> beans, Job\u2019s Tears<\/b>, and bone<\/b> beads.
