The base and spokes of this basket are made with the cambium side of Eastern Red Cedar<\/b> inner bark. The weavers are Willow<\/b> bark, woven in a twilled arrow pattern. The green twined rows are of Rattlesnake Master<\/b> leaves, a tall grass prairie plant that was once very common in Missouri. A technique commonly used among the Northwestern coastal Indians, called a Swinomish fold, is used to finish the rim. Persimmon<\/b> seeds and Canna<\/b> seeds make up the dangles.
